Value Environmental Interface
Eric Villepreux
Founder and General Manager
Eric began his career in drilling in 1987, joining an international mud logging company after
earning a BTS in Physics and Chemistry and a DEUG A in Science and Material Structures.
He quickly advanced to IDF (International Drilling Fluids), the global leader in drilling
fluids, as a Drilling Fluids Technician. Following IDF’s acquisition by Schlumberger, he was
selected for comprehensive Cementation Manager training (Dowell-SLB) and became Base
Manager in Cameroon, overseeing five countries.
Later, Eric worked as a consultant for five years in the North Sea for TotalEnergies, where he
observed emerging environmental regulations (DTI). This inspired him to deepen his
expertise, leading to a Master’s in Environmental Management from INPL in 2009.
From 2010 onward, as Fluids and Cement Superintendent and responsible for managing
drilling waste, Eric consistently integrated environmental criteria into operational strategies.
Over time, he incorporated ESG criteria, ensuring service companies adopted these values,
emphasizing the importance of employee well-being and pride in their work environments.
In 2021, Eric founded the consulting firm VE Interface in Gabon while continuing global
missions as an expert consultant in legal and operational domains (fluids, cement, waste
management, and ESG factors).
